GERMINATING SEEDS

Fill the seed tray with Just Cannabis Potting Soil. Level off and firm lightly. Water thoroughly using a watering can with a fine spray and allow to drain. Make a small hole in the medium of approximately 1cm deep and carefully place the cannabis seed in the hole. Keep the soil moist, but be careful not to overwater – especially during the early stages right after germination. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, pick them out gently. Pot in the final growing pots using Just Cannabis Potting Soil.

PROPAGTING CUTTINGS

Water the parent plant 24 hours before taking cuttings. Use a sharp knife to cut off young shoots, trimming each one just below the leaf joint by removing the lower leaves. Dip the bottom end of the cutting in a suitable rooting hormone as per the manufacturer’s directions. Fill pots or containers with Just Cannabis Potting Soil and level off. Make holes in the growing medium and insert the cuttings. Firm gently around the plant and water well using a watering can with a fine spray. To help your cuttings to establish, cover each pot with a clear polythene bag to avoid a moisture loss. Put a few small holes in the bag for ventilation and do not allow the leaves to touch the polythene. When a healthy root system has developed, remove the bag and water.

POTTING

Fill pots loosely with Just Cannabis Potting Soil. Plant with the minimum of firming. Water plants well so that all the growing medium is moistened. Please remember to take care with fragile roots.

FEEDING

Just Cannabis Potting Soil will supply all the nutrients needed for strong healthy growth during the entire life cycle of the cannabis plant. During the flowering stage of the cannabis plant, a mixture of blackstrap molasses and Epsom salt can be added to the medium as an optional extra to help further increase bud density.  The recommended ratios are 5ml sulphate free blackstrap molasses to 1L of water and 1ml of Epsom salt to 1L of water, up to twice a  week during the flowering stage.

WATERING

Adequate watering is essential to your cannabis plant’s health. Keep the growing medium moist, although not consistently over–wet, particularly during the first few weeks of the plant’s life. Avoid drying–out of the growing medium and if this occurs, ensure sufficient re–moistening. The optimal pH range of water for cannabis plants is 6.0 to 6.5.
